"When I started my search I thought it'd be easy...but all of the schools were saying the same thing. Working with Barry made that easier...he taught me what to look for on my campus tours and made the whole process more manageable."Alex- Rochester, New York
About us
Study In The States .com LTD is staffed by both current and former U.S. higher education professionals with experience at highly selective institutions.
We provide one to one support for students (and their parents) wishing to study full-time in the States, helping you navigate a complex admissions process; offer consultation on your application to give you the best chance of receiving an acceptance letter; arrange small group tours to visit several campuses in the U.S. to help you find the college or university that will be the best fit for you!
How we Started
Study In The States.com LTD was established in 2007 by Barry Sullivan after he left a career in higher education in the States and relocated to the United Kingdom. Barry recieved his M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Syracuse University and has worked at a range of universities, from small private religiously-affiliated to large public research universities, and medium private to small business universities. During his work in the States he realized the most important factor in determining student success was whether or not the student felt they "fit" at the institution. Domestic students in the States spend ages touring campuses with their families trying to get a feel for student life, while students abroad rarely get the opporutnity to spend time on a campus before enrolling. Our aim to connect students not currently living in the States to a university they will be likely to succeed.
